Full Scoop Book review by Jane This book was comic relief. The characters were adorable, even though the FBI agent may have been a little over-the-top cutesy for my tastes. I would have pictured him as slightly more reserved, considering his role. This book was a romantic comedy with a twist of suspense. It was definitely light reading aimed at the female gender. The main premise of the story is a woman with a 13-year-old daughter and a career as a pediatrician suddenly has a man from her past coming after her. She has many friends to help her along the way and with her best interests at heart. I would recommend this book for women who want a little comic relief and are happy with a story that involves a romance. I think these authors did a great job in conveying their purpose. It reminded me slightly (although it could not take its place) of Miss Julia Speaks Her Mind, because they are both set in the South and have laugh-out-loud moments. In fact, I learned of Charlotte Hughes from Ann B. Ross's newsletter, where Ms. Ross mentioned that Charlotte Hughes is coming out with a new novel.
