a Sparrow Falls Book review by Tracey This story was interesting despite (for me) the religion angle. Our heroine Mary Washburn has had a hard life, slipping into Meth dealing with her boyfriend and his crony. She has gradually become more afraid of what she’s doing and of her boyfriend who is losing touch with any reality. She runs far away from her situation and eventually ends up as a sort of nanny for a Reverend, living a life in hiding. The details of the story were compelling and I found myself sympathizing with Mary despite her past. There is a lot of religion in the story as you could imagine with a church family and the small flashes of Marys’ devout grandmother that we are shown. Mary is strong but doubtful of her strength. Religion becomes the catalyst with which she grasps that strength. Who she helps along her way and how is something you’ll have to read for yourself. Tracey. Search our site:
