Meet Uriah

Book Reader’s Traverse recently caught up with Uriah after he finished a book he was especially fond of: 70 x 7 and Beyond: Mystery of the Second Chance. Therefore, we were able to persuade him to share his opinion on the book with us. He’s a young husband and father of two who has discovered the joy of reading. Here’s what he has to say about his new hobby:

“I just recently started to read books. I have found that I like non-fiction books. I am a people person, and I like books on Sociology. I love animals and Earth Science, so I also like books on Biology. I love music, and I like to read biographies about musicians and actors/actresses. I also read religious books. I would say Joyce Meyer is my favorite author so far; though, the Bible is my favorite religious book. I mainly like books explaining things or giving understanding. I have an open mind on that subject, so I do not just read Christian books. That’s why I say religious books.”

Uriah’s enthusiasm for his love of reading shows not only in the above statement, but also in is review of 70 x 7 and Beyond: Mystery of the Second Chance. An attractive story for young adults, this book carries a strong theme of a person turning back from a destructive life and getting a new opportunity to live, as evidenced by its subtitle: The Mystery of the Second Chance.

Book Review by Uriah
The book I want to review is about a dude that had a crazy life and finds God. It starts with the dude going to a party and someone there offered to help him sell his "coke". They were busted--there was even a police chase. The action does not stop there, though. In this book, the author speaks about his experiences with drugs and his relationship with his wife and her mother. I read about how he went to prison and the Lord blessed him. Then, he got out and got back with his wife and child. Then, he ended up back into drugs and left his wife. I would say, “Dude, why do you keep doing this!” Then, I thought of mistakes I made (more than once) and I could see myself in him. Later, the author became a prison minister in Montana. He now has four kids and is still with his faithful wife.

It is just an awesome book. I feel I can relate. This book is definitely worth reading. My friend recommended this book. I finally picked it up, and then I could not put it down. The author’s story really inspired me. This is the best book I have read so far. It actually had a lot of stuff going on all the time--very interesting.
